I know everyone is already talking about it...

HL2 source has been released...er, leaked.  Or at least something that is proven as a reasonable facsimile.

This is bad, right?

Or is it only bad for valve?  Sure, cheaters might get a step up on the hacking side, but valve or something will counter them with something else.  And you shouldn't play on unmoderated servers anyway.

The good would be that every FPS out there that wants to see how Valve did such and such, they can now look and figure it out.  This will make better games for us, the general gamer, public, no?  As someone mentioned on Qt3, DNF just got a lot closer to releasing...

This is does not mean I don't think the 'leaker' should be prosecuted or whatever, because this may end up costing Valve a lot of money, which just ain't right.

YES!  Shake that booty!  And I mean that in both senses of the homonym, those being the posterior and the spoils of battle.  Shake them both, sir, and shake them well.

It's all the same page to me.

For some reason MP2 felt jerky and random in the sequence of levels and goals, whereas in the first game, it felt like Max was on one long, arcing journey. Not sure why. Rose-colored brain, perhaps.

We've been over this. I double-dog dare you to try to play the first one again. I DARE YOU.

We settled this almost five got-damn days ago. You said "MP screamy baby dream sequences" and I gave up the dream!

I've decided to run through the original game now that I've beaten the sequel, and I can safely say the sequel improves upon the original in nearly every way.  Much more polished, bullet-time is infinitely more useful, somewhat more interesting levels, etc.  Plus, its surprising how much one misses the physics engine.

See above, re: double-dog dare.

Alternately, you could finally give this a fair shake, since you claim "gamer needs a title".

I'm not quite ready to embrace your gun-to-mouth solution.
